Letter from the TC-US chair

Two years ago (Forum 2002 in Seville) we constituted the TC on Ultrasound but since then we have been scarcely in contact. Now we are approaching the new Forum that will take place in Budapest from the 29th of August to the 2nd of September. The participation of the ultrasonic people in such event is desired. However, you all know that the World Congress on Ultrasound united with Ultrasonics International (WCU/UI05) will be in Beijing exactly in the same week (initially it was scheduled for September 11th - 15th but for different reasons it has been moved to August 28th - September 1st) Therefore the two events are unfortunately in coincidence. However it will be good to avoid that the major participation in the WCU/UI05 impedes a certain presence of the Ultrasound in the Forum. To that purpose I would suggest to indicate who will be ready to participate in the Forum in order to organize some structured session in the field. The Forum organizers are very much interested in the presence of the Ultrasound field in the Conference. Therefore I would like to ask you to send me asap a response to the following questions:

1. Do you think to go to Forum Acusticum?
2. Are you ready to organize/participate in a Structured Session?
3. Do you think to go to WCU/IU in Beijing?
