Postdoc position experimental psychoacoustics
A Ph.D./Postdoc position is available for 2 years from April 1st, 2013 at the Erich Thienhaus Institute (ETI), University of Music Detmold. In the frame of a BMWI-funded project "private workplace" a software and hardware system is developed for masking of disturbing speech signals at work places.
The researcher at ETI shall investigate the effect of speech masking sounds on
concentration. The task includes design and optimization of masking sounds as well as development, supervision and evaluation of listening tests under laboratory and live conditions.
The applicant should have solid knowledge of signal processing and psychoacoustics. Experience with statistical data analysis and experimental psychoacoustics is mandatory. Fluent english and at least basic knowledge of german language is recommended.
