ECUA 2010

The European Conference on Underwater Acoustics “ecua” has been initiated by the European Commission with the help of the three European Acoustical Societies (IOA, DEGA, SFA) and became an established and renowned conference series thanks to their support. The first conference was held in the European Parliament buildings in Luxemburg in 1992 with very active support of the EC. Subsequent conferences have been organized every two years. ECUA is now a self running conference organized by an ad-hoc committee. It gathers 300 to 600 participants from all over Europe and attracts an important contribution from the American Colleagues (about 30%). The 10th ECUA will be held in Istanbul, Turkey between 5-9 July, 2010. The conference chairman is Dr. Tuncay Akal.
