EAA SUMMER SCHOOL - Structure, Grants and Awards
The list of courses of the EAA Summer School 2010 and Grants and Awards within the Young Researchers and Students Program are available now.
Prior to the Congress, from 13 to 15 September 2010, the first EAA Summer School for young researchers will be held.
The title of the Summer School is the "First Forum of Young Researchers in Acoustics”.
The Summer School will take two and a half days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. On Saturday morning the examinations will be taken.
The programme of the Summer School will include several courses with the following topics:
- Topic 1: Soundscape * (Monday, September 13 - full day)
- Topic 2: Voice/Musical Acoustics * (Monday, September 13 - full day)
- Topic 3: Building Acoustics * (Tuesday, September 14 - full day)
- Topic 4: Hydroacoustics (Tuesday, September 14 - afternoon)
- Topic 5: Numerical Methods (Wednesday, September 15 - morning)
- Topic 6: Psychoacoustics (Wednesday, September 15 - morning)
- Topic 7: Ultrasound (Wednesday, September 15 - morning)
* courses organized and financed by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) projects: TD-0804 (Soundscape of European Cities and Landscapes), TU-0901 (Integrating and Harmonizing Sound Insulation Aspects in Sustainable Urban Housing Constructions) and 2103 (Advanced Voice Function Assessment)
Some of the courses will run at the same time. Lecturers will be internationally recognized and distinguished Professors and Experts in Acoustics. Here you find a list of the structure.
Students enrolled in the summer school must also attend the structured sessions related to the topics of the summer school during the next Conference days (Thursday, September 16 and Friday September 17). After the examination, which will be held on Saturday morning, September 18, the participants of the Summer School will receive a certificate with 2.0 ECTS credits for 2 courses + connected structured sessions.
The minimum number of the participants for each course will be 5. The age limit for the summer school participants is 40 years.
The official language of the Summer School will be English.
The registration fee to the Conference includes the Summer School.

EAA and the mentioned COST projects will support with grants the participation of a limited number of European young researchers and students in the EAA Summer School, as part of the First Forum of Young Researchers.
